P5 have been collaborating with Edinburgh Art Festival and WHALE Arts this year and were in the middle of a spectacular project. Unfortunately our exhibition has had to be cancelled this year, but you can see some of our fantastic work by clicking here. Sally and Holly have also prepared an ‘Art at Home’ challenge at the bottom of the page so be sure to check that out.
We have worked so hard and learned so much about making art, mainly focussing on the process of creating art, not the outcome or what it looks like. Art is about expressing ourselves and making patterns, textures and shapes that make us happy. We also learned a lot about sustainability and how not all art has to be made from new items or last forever – one man’s trash is another man’s treasure! A huge thank you to Alice, Sally and Holly over at Edinburgh Art Festival for all their hard work organising and carrying out our workshops – we miss you and hope you are all keeping safe and healthy.

It’s been brilliant to see so many more of you engaging with your learning this week! A big shout out to Phindamandla and Zack for completing their grammar challenges on Sumdog and all the other boys and girls who have logged in and begun their challenges this week.
Sophie has been enjoying working on Teams and I’ve loved getting to see all of her work and even getting to correct it! Your grown-ups should all have received an email from me with your log in details on Monday.
Summer has been working hard on reading, division, physical activity and even art and music!
Congratulations to Emilia for moving onto the next block of tricky words – did anyone else take a test this week? Here is some of Emilia’s hard work this week.
Sophie also did some fantastic cooking with her mum last week! Well done Sophie.

Well done to Lucy in P5, working hard on her Spanish and PE today. Lucy set herself the challenge of improving her Spanish during school closures and is on her way to achieving that goal!!
