Welcome to the Nursery preschoolers webpage! We hope to keep you updated with the exciting learning opportunities and experiences your child has whilst enjoying their nursery session with us.
September 2017
The children went on their first monthly visit to the library at Gate 55. When we arrived we listened to the librarian read the story ‘I went to the Zoopermarket’ by Nick Sharratt. The story is about lots of animals that appear in packets of food and we drew pictures of our favorite animal. All of the children spent time looking at the different books available and we chose a selection to bring back to nursery.
October 2017
The Preschool children went for a Number Walk around our school and to the shops to see how many numbers we could find. We found lots and lots. There are numbers all around us that we pass every day. We found numbers on signs, windows, cars and buses.
The Childsmile team came to visit the nursery. They brought along their big friendly alligator puppet. He showed us how to brush our teeth and we even got to take a turn brushing his teeth. Afterwards the children took it in turns to have a fluoride varnish painted on their teeth and received a sticker from the Childsmile team.
