More Artistic Success in the Art Room!

Massive congratulations to Mathila in P6 for winning the Edinburgh Council Christmas Card Competition. We worked hard in class on creating shade by blending oil pastels. Mathila’s snow man was full of character and light and shade!

WINNER AT SIGHTHILL

A huge congratulations to Sophie in P5! Her picture was selected to be displayed out side St Giles on the Royal Mile as part of the Winter Windows Competition.

This years competition was on the theme of Edinburgh 2050. Sophie imagined a bright and colourful technological future full of flying cars and teleportation boxes! As part of winning Sophie enjoyed a special celebration event at The National Gallery.

You can see her work and others up at St Giles on the Royal Mile until Christmas.

Well done again Sophie.

It has been a busy first term in the Art room with P1 to P7 learning a wide range of art skills from colour mixing to printing and using all sorts of materials and media.
